Dutch model Jelica Westhoff, who shares a son with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, has publicly accused the footballer of domestic abuse, infidelity and neglecting their child amid growing dating rumours linking him to American rapper Cardi B.
She claimed the footballer turned his back on their son because of their personal differences, alleging that the child was hospitalised several times in December without Okoye visiting or checking on him.
Jelica said she had remained silent for years to protect his image and football career but had now reached her breaking point. She also revealed that lawyers have been involved for weeks over issues relating to child support and visitation rights.
She further made a personal allegation about the Udinese goalkeeper, claiming he is bisexual.
“You never had any other girlfriend than me because you are bi,” she wrote.
Her allegations surfaced just hours after photos and videos of Okoye enjoying a luxury dinner with American rapper Cardi B in Venice, Italy, reignited speculation that the pair may be romantically involved.
However, Jelica stressed that her decision to speak out had nothing to do with another woman, insisting her posts were solely about her experiences during the relationship and the welfare of their son.
Maduka Okoye has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
